  I had started an Annuity through a company called USA Life nearly 30 years ago. The policy later got transferred to Allianz Life. I really like the policy and I hope that it does pay when the time comes when I retire. My issue with the company is 1) I don't know what happened to my agent because I haven't heard from him in over 25 years and 2) I have been trying to reach them to start similar policies for my children but no one will return my messages or calls. I have left several messages through their website and I have called and talked to a person who assured me that an agent would contact me. No luck so far. I guess they don't want my repeat business. I would not recommend to anyone to start a new policy with them because their customer service is lacking. Follow up: Allianz Life is not a company I would recommend. When to comes to the cost of insurance, no company is really superior over another company but what does distinguish one company from another is customer service. I had commented a few months ago about the lack of response when I was trying to buy insurance policies for my three children. After several phone calls and a few postings on the Allianz Life Facebook, I finally received a call from an agent. I could tell right away that he was a talker and I just felt that nothing was going to get done. His last words to me were, "Let me get the ladies in the office write up three quotes for you and I will get back to you in a few days." That was almost two months ago. I am starting to learn that the periods of time that Allianz operates under is calculated different than what the average person uses to calculate the passage of time. Lucky within a week another agent called me and he was very helpful as he actually talked me out of starting another policy with Allianz. And to him I am very grateful. I am happy to say that i found another company that gave me a quote the same day that I called them and after reviewing the quote for a day the very next day i was signing for a policy. So, customer service does exist. Just not here. I have read a lot of other posts on this page and other review websites of Allianz customers trying to get satisfaction and not receiving the satisfaction that they were expecting. If this review reaches one person who thinks twice about starting a policy with Allianz and it changes their mind, then my post did what it was meant to do.
